Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac is in its third generation of leadership. It was founded by Bill Black II in 1955 on E Market Street in the heart of downtown Greensboro. They moved to the current location at 601 E Bessemer Avenue in 1966. At that time the dealership was Black Cadillac Oldsmobile.

Bill Black III was named Dealer Principal of the dealership in 1984 and purchased North State Chevrolet in 2004 after the phase out of the Oldsmobile franchise. He is now joined by his daughter, Tricia Black Merrell who was named Dealer Principal in 2019, as well as his son Stewart Black who is the General Manager of Variable Operations. They employ 113 hardworking team members.

Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac has always supported the kind community of Greensboro, NC who has been so loyal to the business over the years.
